Can you get frostmourne in game

Comment by This is kinda stupid bacause if you actually read about the Lich King the Frostmourne did take his soul but he didnt actuallybecome the Lich King until he put on the helmet Comment by Paulizzfun I wonder if you went into ICC with this if all the mobs will be friendly, and it will trigger some awesome story. Like when you go into the scarlet monastery with the corrupted ashbringer. Comment by I will gladly give up my first born for this sword lmao.

Comment by DoctorCholera check out those stats, sure do wish I could've had that over a shadowmourne. Comment by Solarscar It's cool how at some angles the steel looks like black chrome :. Quite awesome. ETA: WoWhead, can we let me write the man's name? Comment by Factorum This item is not available to players.

Is apparently untrue, it was accessed today on the Blackrock US - Horde server. Comment by Papas When exactly was it avaliable? Its an other useless item like the Ashbringer or Tigole's Trashbringer right? I mean since you create it at least give it to us Comment by Varothar It is weird because Arthas doesnt become the lich king by wielding the sword he becomes the lich king by placing the crown on his head.

Comment by just - damage? Comment by Boogf "Now, I call out to the spirits of this place," Arthas said, his breath frosting in the cold, still air. Just beyond his reach, Frostmourne hung, suspended, waiting for him. I can feel you here. I know you are listening. I'm ready. I understand. And I tell you now--I will give anything, or pay any price, if only you will help me save my people. His breath frosted, faded, frosted again, and cold sweat dotted his brow.

He had offered everything he had--had he been refused? Had he failed yet again? And then with a low groan that made his breath catch, a sudden crack ran up the smooth surface of the ice.

It raced its way upward, zigzagging and spreading, until Arthas could barely glimpse the sword it held within its heart. Then he was stumbling backward, clutching his ears at the sudden loud cracking noise that filled the chamber. The icy casket encasing the sword exploded.

Shards flew across the chamber, swords themselves, sharp and jagged. They shattered against the unyielding stone floor and walls, but even as Arthas dropped to his knees, his arms flying up automatially to cover his head, he heard a cry suddenly cut off. Now he lay sprawled on the cold stone floor, a spear of ice impaling his midsection, the blood sluggishly flowing around it. His eyes were closed and he was limp. Arthas scambled to his feet and hastened over to his old friend and trainer, tugging off his gauntlet.

He slipped an arm around the limp form, placing his hand on the wound, staring at it, willing the Light to come and limn his hands with healing energy. Guilt racked him. So this was the dreadful price. He bowed his head, tears stinging his eyes, and prayed. It's my folly. My price. Please-- And then, like a familiar caress from a loved friend, he felt it. The Light raced through him, comforting and warm, and he bit back a sob as he saw the glow again begin to embrace his hand.

He had fallen so far, but it wasn't too late. The Light had not abandoned him. All he needed was to drink it in, open his heart to it. Muradin would not die. He could heal him. And together they-- Something stirred at the back of his neck. No, no, not the bak of his neck.

He looked up quickly-- And stared in wonder. It had flung itself free to embed itself in front of him. His own Light faded from his hands as he rose to his feet, almost hypnotized. Frostmourne was waiting for him, a lover needing the touch of the desired one to waken to full glory. The whispering the the back of his mind continued. This was the path. It was foolish to trust in the Light.

It has failed him, repeatedly. Comment by blacc We are just nameless idiots in this game nothing we did is canon lol the story ended in wc3 tft for me. And i'm not the only on with this opinion. Comment by Nokom What death knight uses Intellect? I guess Arthas was a scrub after all. Comment by how and where do u get it? Comment by Quilan Yet another shiny object swung in our faces by Blizz.

Come on, give me the sword! I don't care if I lose my soul, it's shiny. And remember kids. Comment by Dragonx09 Anyone notice this sword was item level not to long ago now its Comment by DrCheis There's only one class that wields two-handed swords and finds intellect a desirable stat.

Comment by zknm7 The yellow lettering stating "The wielder of Frostmourne will become the new Lich King" is incorrect. While Frostmourne was definitely a defining part of Arthas as Lich King, it was not the blade itself which turned him into the Lich King. He became the Lich King upon donning the Helm of Domination.

Comment by Phayze71 This is clearly a hunter weapon. View in 3D Links. Arthas defeated Illidan and ascended the spire of the Frozen Throne, then plunged Frostmourne back into the ice and donned the helmet sealed within, becoming the new Lich King.

A gold-plated replica of Frostmourne's shattered hilt, as shown on the Dedication of Honor in Dalaran. This section concerns content exclusive to Wrath of the Lich King. Just after he is defeated in the Pit of Saron , the leper gnome Krick lets it slip that Arthas leaves Frostmourne unattended in the Halls of Reflection , his private sanctum in the Frozen Halls of Icecrown Citadel.

As Krick promised, Frostmourne stands alone, floating serenely above an altar in the center of the entry chamber. Jaina or Sylvanas attempt to commune with the souls trapped within the blade to find the key to the Lich King's weakness. They are contacted by the spirit of Uther the Lightbringer , who warns them that another must take the Lich King's place in order to keep the Scourge under control.

The thousands of souls trapped within the blade swarmed the Lich King, suspending him in the air, where he was finished off by the champions assembled to defeat him. The trapped souls then remained in Icecrown Citadel, locked in eternal torment, unable to escape. On the Dedication of Honor monument at the center of Runeweaver Square in Dalaran , a bust of the shattered hilt of Frostmourne is shown at the feet of the statue of Tirion Fordring.

The current location of Frostmourne's remains are resting at the base of the Frozen Throne within Icecrown Citadel. This section concerns content exclusive to the Warcraft RPG , and thus unlikely to be canon. Frostmourne has the ability to drain life from its victims — and to drain the soul of anyone whom it connects to.

The Lich King is capable of seeing through the eyes and hearing through the ears of anyone who wields Frostmourne; this ability cannot be stopped by any mortal means. The Lich King can communicate with the wielder at will telepathically, on any plane and at any distance. The Lich King uses this ability to try and corrupt the wielder over time. This has several effects. An individual who wields Frostmourne will not part with it willingly.

Over time the person will go from good to neutral and finally to evil. A non-undead evil wielder will then become undead. Finally the sword is able to suck the being's soul into the sword. Frostmourne then retains the memories and skills of its victim. In fact, as long as the wielder's original body remains within one mile of Frostmourne, the sword maintains control of the body, and he may not be completely aware that his consciousness has shifted to the weapon.

Beyond one mile, the sword cannot control the wielder's body, and the wielder of course finally becomes quite aware of his current state if he is not already. OP, if you want to really get this thread booming, add this link to the top of your post:. I agree with all of you guys SO much here! And we need DKs to get a huge buff in general too, not just Frost. But Frost has been having it the worst out of all of us of course.

Well we are going to the forge master who made the helm of domination. If the devs wanted to it would be a good and fitting time to remake it. I totally agree with you!
