Compton gangster Keffe D Davis has since boasted about his alleged role in the murder , detailing how he and his nephew Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson shot Tupac before fleeing the scene.
Tupac was gunned down at a Las Vegas intersection by a shooter in a white Cadillac with four passengers. The car he was in was stopped at a red light when he was struck with. Tupac was shot four times, in the chest, arm, and thigh, and died of his injuries six days later in hospital after slipping into a coma. Suge — who was with Tupac at the time — had driven in the wrong direction to the hospital before smashing into a divider at a traffic intersection, police said.

For some time he attended Arts School in Maryland and in his family moved again to a neighborhood of San Francisco, where Shakur finished high school and started his hip hop singing career. In he became a member of the group Thug Life which released an album and had a few hits. In , Tupac was cast in the movie, Juice , which was a crime drama.
He joined the ranks of rapper-turned actors like Ice Cube and Ice-T. In late , he formed the group, Thug Life and produced various albums. His album, All Eyes on Me debuted on Billboard charts at the number one position. It sold upward of five million copies in the first year itself.
During the same year, he starred in a romantic film, Poetic Justice, opposite Janet Jackson. This album was released under a new stage name, Makaveli. Tupac drew his gun during a conflict but later dropped it to the ground. Someone picked it up and the gun fired, killing the 6-year-old.
Tupac shot and wounded one in the buttock and the other on the leg. However, charges were dropped after it was found that the police officers had initiated the incident. This case illustrated how some police treated African Americans differently, which Tupac had been talking about in his music.

In Las Vegas on September 7, , for the Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon boxing match, Shakur and others in his entourage were captured on tape in the lobby of the MGM Grand hotel engaging in a violent scuffle with a man later identified as a member of the Los Angeles-based Crips street gang. At least 12 shots were fired, four of which struck Shakur and one of which grazed the head of Suge Knight. On September 13, , however, Tupac Shakur died of his wounds.
No arrest has been made to date in connection with either murder.
